With so many options to choose from, adding towables to your list of water fun is an excellent option.

However, you need to know how to properly care for your towables so that you can have fun with them for years to come. First, you should learn how to properly inflate your towables. Generally, the best way to get just the right amount of air is to inflate the tube until the tube is firm. If you have a covered tube, then you want it to be wrinkle free when inflated. When you stand on the tube, you should only sink a couple of inches. This is why you also want to make sure you have a high volume pump that can quickly inflate the tube and give enough pressure to stretch the PVC of the towable. Typically, a 2.5 p.s.i. pump is adequate. By having your towable properly inflated, you can have timate performance and a tube that will last you for years to come.

Next, you need to observe proper towable procedures when you are on the water. Once you are finished, you need to clean your towables and store them properly. When cleaning, you should use soap and water or a mild detergent.Gently wash away the dirt with a sponge and then use a garden hose to rinse. If you use strong cleaning agents on a nylon cover, you will damage the fabric or cause it to fade.

Make sure your towable is completely dry before you store it. If you store it when it is still wet, you will have mold or mildew grow which can permanently stain your towables. Store them in a cool and dry area while taking precautions against rodents and vermin that can damage your towable. These are just a few ways to have a great time on your towables in the summer.
